Our client is a leading IT Applications Multinational company focused on providing Credit Risk Management, Fraud and Decision Analytics applications to its global customers. As part of its aggressive growth strategy, the company will be setting up a new R&D centre in Malaysia, which is targeted to growth to more than 100 staff in the immediate future.

The R&D centre would play a key role in the design, build and testing of components and solutions suite. The focus will be on building state-of-the-art java developments – that is ‘green field / new’ developments, and not maintenance of existing applications.

The Position is Software Architect (Java). This is a senior position that will lead a team of 8 – 10 developers.

Key requirements include:
- 8+ years of experience
- Strong programming, troubleshooting, analytical & problem solving skills
- Understand and familiar with SOA
- Understand and familiar with good Java software engineering processes and methods
- Familiar with three or more Open Source tools / Frameworks, including but not limited to: Ajax, Spring, JSF, Ant, Subversion, Maven, CruiseControl, Hibernate/JPA,Junit, FIT / Fitnesse, JMS, SOAP, Axis
- Understand emerging Java Technologies

• Do not smoke, chew gum, or eat garlic beforehand.

• Wear suitable interview clothes.

• Take copies of your CV with you.

• Arrive on time for your job interview.

• Any applications handed before the interview begins, are to be filled in as accurately as possible, make sure they match the information in your Cv and Cover Letter.

• Always greet the interviewer by his/her last name and try to pronounce it correctly.

• Have a good firm handshake.
