Malaysia Highway Authority is a government agency responsible for supervising, designing, construction, operation and maintenance of highways in Malaysia. We invite qualified individuals to join our staff.

Position:
1. Electrical Technician (Grade J22) Contract

Responsibilities:
Assist Engineer (Electricity) to make a review of all aspects of design in the design phase and then to monitor construction projects with site visits, compliance with quality, and so the construction phase to ensure that the Concession Company to meet their obligations as prescribed.

Qualifications:
  • Malaysia Citizen;
  • Aged not less than 18 years old;
  • Has a certificate in Electrical Engineering recognized by the government of the local polytechnics or equivalent qualification;
  • Pass in Bahasa Malaysia / Malay language (including the Oral Examination) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent qualification recognized by the government; and
  • Work experience in related fields is not less than 8 years.

2. Civil Engineer (Grade J17) Contract

Responsibilities:
Assist Engineer (Civil) and Technicians (Civil) Grade J22 in carrying out the monitoring of the project by making site visits, review of quality management, saw the quality tests in the laboratory and on-site, providing project monitoring reports, etc. to ensure that the Concession Company obligations as set forth.

Qualifications:
  • Malaysia Citizen;
  • Aged not less than 18 years old;
  • Has a certificate in Civil Engineering recognized by the government of the local polytechnics or equivalent qualification; and
  • Pass in Bahasa Malaysia / Malay language (including the Oral Examination) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
3. Administrative Assistant (Clerical / Operation) Grade N17 (Contract)

Responsibilities:
Work relating to the administration, such as receiving and recording a letter / memo, distributed a letter / memo either internally or externally, to register documents and update the data.

Qualifications:
  • Malaysia Citizen;
  • Aged not les than 18 years old;
  • Have Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent qualification recognized by the government; and
  • Pass in Bahasa Malaysia / Malay language (including the Oral Examination) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
(Preference given to candidates capable of handling the computer and / or take shorthand)

Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Prai, Penang – 1 position)
The Job:
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day control & instrumentation maintenance for the Northern region.
Key duties include ensuring plant downtime is kept to a minimum by carrying out preventive C&I programs and performing proper breakdown service as and when necessary; conducting regular C&Iequipment inspections, assessing their reliability and undertaking proper care and maintenance and, ensuring proper housekeeping at all times. In addition, he/she is expected to attend to plant C&I related failures/breakdown outside normal working hours; review plant C&I spare parts regularly; ensure C&I circuit diagrams are available and safety practices are adhered to at all times and analyze C&I related breakdowns and advise on solutions through active engagement with the Global Support Services team.
Requirements:
- At least a Diploma in Electronics /Control or Instrumentation Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar work environment, in a process plant.
- Hands-on experience in dealing with pressure transmitters, control valves, pressure switches, temperature switches and other instruments.
- Familiar in using Hart communicator, pressure calibrators, Fluke meters and etc for troubleshooting and, plant product gas analyzers and its calibration procedures.

Mechanical Engineer (Prai, Penang – 1 position) (Westport, Klang – 1 position)
The Job:
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer , the job entails undertaking SAP PM tasks, troubleshooting, repair, new project commissioning, improving machinery equipment reliability and modification and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment such as reciprocating, centrifugal, diaphragm and rotary compressor, centrifugal pump, vacuum pump, gear box, piping, vessel, cold box, etc.
Key duties include conducting new project machinery commissioning/start-ups; plant machinery equipment & facilities reliability assessment/ development and providing technical skills to resolve problems either directly or through accurate identification of problems. He/she is also expected to provide support to joint-ventures, subsidiaries, regional PMO and third parties and, supervise contractors’ work in the facility or shop to ensure safety, quality and reliability of work.
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Machinery Engineering.
- 5 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer with proven technical skills to work with confidence in specific areas.
- Proven supervisory and organizational skills, able to initiate turnarounds and new project start-ups and meet schedules.
